Al Neiman helped me at regular intervals to make reports about my expenses to the New Jersey Department of Higher Education. Thanks to his knowledge of accounting procedures, there were no errors and omissions in the administration of my grant funds, despite the earnest efforts of a few of his colleagues at Jersey City State College to prove that it was otherwise. He performed his job well, and for a few short years the chronically ill homebound students at his institution were able to participate in college classes.

My condolences to Al's family and loved ones. He was my landlord years ago and he was a very nice person. May loving memories ease the pain of loss for all who knew him.

Audrey, Blake, Sara and family ~ I am so sorry for your loss. This is an unimaginable tragedy. I initially knew Al as Erica's Uncle. He was always friendly and I enjoyed learning about his accounting career. After the birth of my first son I was able to work for Al for a few years. Al showed me such kindness during this time as I navigated balancing work with my newly formed family. It was clear that family was the most important thing to Al. He would talk about Blake and Sara with such pride. Al's passing will leave a void in this world that can never be filled. I hope you all may find peace in the days ahead. ~ Debbie Fanale

Professor Neiman was a big reason for me to switch my major to accounting. He was always in a good mood, even at 8.30 am in the morning when I wished to be in bed. But I still got up for his classes because if there was one 830 am class I could bear to sit through, it was his class. He saw the potential in all of his students. I'll remember both his accounting lessons and life lessons for a long time. He was very proud of his son and daughter and he loved his grandchildren. As his students, we grew up hearing stories of his life, his buddies and wife and through him, we knew everyone surrounding him was kind and good. My condolences to his family, and thanks to Professor Neiman for inspiring all of us and helping us be the better version of ourselves.
Rest in peace.

Dear Neiman Family,
Prof. Neiman did an excellent job teaching me accounting in 2012. I have always believed in using my skills practically, and what better way to do it than through his class. I was a math major, but accounting was part and parcel to it. I extend my condolences to you. May he rest in peace.

Al was a good friend and colleague of mine for many years. We always had a long conversation at the beginning of the semester, and I am blessed that we were able to talk on Tuesday. His passing is shocking to me, but I can say that he loved what he did at Caldwell University, and he was able to do this for a long time, and when we spoke he was happy. I am grateful for that. Godspeed, Al.
