Irene’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20140101/

Dear Irene, Joan, Tommy, George, Bill, Joann and families,
I am sending my love and condolences to you all as you cope with Aunt Irene's passing. It is hard, for the family remaining, when a mom leaves this world to enter life into the everlasting kingdom of God. That is her real home, after all, and her time of testing has ceased. Happily, there is no more pain or tears once one moves within the heavenly gates. We will pray for her as she continues her journey there. She may be out of sight but is never out of mind. Since we are all part of one body of Christ, we continually pray for each other. I know she is praying for us, too!
I am sure there was much Polish polka-ing and Irish step dancing beyond the veil this week as she was greeted by Uncle Simon and all of the rest of the family who awaited her coming with great anticipation. We know she lived a very long and full life. Imagine the sense of awe she felt in her heart when looking back upon 100 years of life! What a milestone! She was the last of her generation for our family.
She was a brave and strong woman who taught us many gentle lessons as we grew up. Some through the words she conveyed, yet much more by the way she lived her life with great trust in the Lord, whatever the circumstance.
My earliest memories are of visiting her home in East Orange (?) where we had to walk down a long dark hallway, past bicycles park against the wall, only to emerge at the end to see Aunt Irene's smiling face and Irene Marie and Joan's big hugs. Aunt Irene always had some sort of Polish treat to share with Kathy and I when we came to visit! She was very thoughtful of others. (Even when I brought my young daughters, Katie and Molly, to visit Uncle Simon and Aunt Irene in Caldwell they had special gifts for them, which the girls still have.) Aunt Irene had a way of considering others before herself.
When we were older and testing our "wings", Aunt Irene was always the one with a wise word to share. We were a rowdy family and she treated us all very kindly. We will miss her presence on this earth, but look forward to the big Family Reunion one day in heaven!
May God bless each of you with angels to support you through the grief that seems to come in waves when we lose the ability to see and touch someone we love so much. Know that she is simply on the other side of the veil, praying for you!
Blessings, prayers and love to each of you,
Mary Beth (Ormsby) Rapp
Alan, Katie and Molly, send their sympathy, too!
