Doug and I connected during our time in the startup community of Research Triangle Park, NC. From our first meeting, it was clear there was much more to Doug than his large frame and outsized laugh. He was a real friend, someone you could count on for his purity of heart and welcoming way. We immediately bonded over Dales pale ale and love of early stage company building. He is deeply missed.
