I just found out that he passed away last year. I’ve always been wondering how he is or still alive. He was my doctor for many years when I was a baby. I stopped seeing him when I was 18. He has been very loyalty since day one. I’ll miss him dearly!

Dr.Cahill was the best, everytime we took our kids to his office he always ask how we were doing and checked us out too ( always had to blow that pinwheel ) I always had a joke ready for him and we shared a few aughs. What a great man who always made sure he called you the next day on the phone to check up on whoever was sick. He will truly be missed .Condolences to his Family . This tribute to and condolences for the family of Dr. Cahill is only delayed because we live in North Carolina and our Coast Star arrives a few days later here. We lived in Wall Township for 20+ years and Dr. Cahill was the pediatrician for our children Amy and Tim. In fact at Tim's birth on May 30, 1975 Dr. Cahill administered Last Rites Sacrament for Tim and saved his life. He was an outstanding diagnostician and caregiver. Also when Amy became an international teacher Dr. C. was a long distance consultant for her daughters and saw them in person when needed when back in NJ for summer vacation. We are grateful that he was better at treating people than raising fish.We are very sorry for his passing but his faith is being fully rewarded now. Peace. Ken and Kathy Curtis.

Dr. Cahill was a very special person to my family and the Spring Lake community......we were truly blessed to have him in our lives.
One of my father’s best friends (Uncle Nicky) and our family pediatrician from an early age. Many memorable visits to his office and front porch as he was unselfishly available all the time. Doc "always" had the answer and would deliver the remedy with the confident assurance that everything would be alright! Brooks Brothers from head to toe...he was uniquely recognizable in his Seersucker Suit (not sure the Doc owned a pair of socks?) and Penny Loafers. One of the NY TIMES best customers....he was often seen in his beach chair by the jetty going through the Sunday Crossword with the greatest of ease!
On Saturday afternoon’s, he may have been the last guy to get to the beach….but also the last to leave! An integral part of the beach chair “tribal circle” on the sand at the South End. I would enjoy watching the body surfing contests among the dad’s, extended naps and later see them slip off to the E & S or Pool Bar to complete the day! Rest assure he lived a full life…..and solidified many lasting memories for us all. Thank you for your service and friendship Doctor Cahill……you are forever in our hearts!

Dr. Cahill was a unique man a kind and generous soul and a great doctor. He was the best of the best. He treated our kids and we were always so grateful for his tremendous knowledge and caring attitude. We will always remember him in our thoughts and prayers. He is certainly in heaven this very day. Our sincere condolences to all of you. I knew Dr Mike from Jersey Shore Medical Center when I was an Intern and Resident. He cared for my children and when I found out he graduated Georgetown Med, I was very impressed.

There are many doctors in the world, but very few can measure up to Dr. Cahill. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for all he did for my son. He fought my battles with insurance companies, reassured me when I was scared, diagnosed issues that no one else could see, made follow up calls, researched, always made sure that our son received the care he needed, made me laugh when all I could do was cry and told me when I was overreacting. After my son died, he said, "Now you don't have to pray for him, you can pray to him." I have repeated his words many times. I pray for peace for his family.

Dr Cahill was a phenomenal pediatrician with the best bedside manner that often left you leaving his office in tears of laughter. His stories and sarcasm were the best. He cared deeply for every patient, including my three sisters and me, and made himself available whenever and wherever. Two of my sisters and I had the pleasure of traveling to Honduras with Dr. Cahill. I spent four years going with him and Moreen and have many fond memories of them - Dr. Cahill using his limited Spanish to yell "proximo" to see his next patient and "sople" to have his patients blow the pin wheel. He was usually in a Yankees hat, often carrying his Pediatrics Journal, and Moreen was normally not too far behind, fearlessly driving him for many years in a pickup truck. I was saddened to read of Moreen's recent passing as well. My deepest condolences to both their families. - Megan Thompson and family (Kevin, Susan, Meridith, Ashley, and Kelly)

So sorry to hear of the passing of our reliable and marvelous pediatrician, Dr. Cahill. He was much more than just our doctor, he was a cherished friend. Many a laugh we shared !

Our deepest sympathies from the DeSevo family. My sister and I sawDr Cahill back in the 70’s for years! He took care of us through chicken pox, and anything that ever came up. I can remember playing in the park across from his office and a friend got hurt and he came across the street to take care of him. Great man, a Spring Lake institution, and he will be missed.

Dr. Cahill was a wonderful pediatrician and I have nothing but fond memories of him. Even when we needed our shots he always made sure we left with a smile. I'm 30 years old now and I can still picture the fish tank in his waiting room. He will be dearly missed.
