Timothy W Sullivan

Feb 23,1977 – May 18, 2019

Tim Sullivan, age 42, of Playa Del Rey, CA passed away after a courageous battle with bile duct cancer. He leaves wife Claire, son Rory, parents Paul and Betsy of Montclair, sister Laura Murphy of Norwalk, CT and her husband Travis (Max) and nephew and niece Charlie and Annabelle.

Born and raised in Montclair, Tim was a 1995 graduate of Montclair High School. He received a B.A in English from University of Vermont. He moved to Los Angeles in 2001 and worked for a number of companies in the entertainment industry including Disney, Magical Elves, where he worked on Project Runway and Top Chef.

Tim developed new shows working as an Executive at Zodiak, Core Media, Good Bye Productions, and Fullscreen before forming his own production company, Gang of Wolves with partner Anthony Carbone and Sony Pictures.

He was hugely respected, highly regarded and much loved by all in the business.

He was bright, sharp, funny, a great writer with brilliant ideas who always ‘nailed a pitch’. His success was helped by his fairness to and treatment of all with whom he worked. Few will forget his sense of humor, love of music, insightful thinking and endless charm.

Tim married Claire O’Donohoe at the Castle Leslie in Monaghan, Ireland and was blessed with a loving and caring relationship, made even stronger with the birth of their son Rory Jerome Paul O’Donohoe Sullivan in 2016.

A memorial service will be held in Montclair this Summer.
