Elaine Hynes Newman

Passed away peacefully at home on October 23, 2017.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park Street, Montclair, NJ on Saturday, October 28th, from 8:30 - 9:30am.  The mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cassian Church, 187 Bellevue Avenue, Montclair at 10:00am, interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Elaine was born on June 19, 1933 in Glen Ridge NJ, the daughter of Charles and Margaret Hynes. .  Upon graduation from Montclair HS in 1951, Elaine started her lifelong career at Bell Telephone Company retiring in 1998.  Elaine was very involved with the Passaic County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Prevention.

Elaine is survived by her husband Charles E. Newman and her sister Cynthia Morgan and several loving nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her brother Roger P. Hynes.
