I am so sorry to hear of Sue's passing. She taught me a thing or two about never ending a sentence in a prepositional phrase. I admired her as a person as well as a professional. She will be sorely missed. God took a wonderful woman; my prayers are outreached to her family. May she be blessed for all eternity.

Sue had such a profound impact on all those whose lives she touched, but I am so especially grateful for the impact she had on our daughter, who as a little girl Sue would bring up to the front of the room to hold the bowl with all the prizes in it for our airport award events, who when she was a bit older Sue would take in a car for a ride on the tarmac at LGA to see the airport from that perspective, and who as a young lady would get encouraging notes from Sue to keep striving and never stop trying to be her best. Sue was such a paragon of leadership and inspiration for women, and I will always be grateful for how she showered that on our daughter. Miss you, Sue!

Dear Baer Family,
My deepest sympathy to your family on the lost of your dear loved one. From just the little snippet of her life in the obituary, I can tell she was an amazing woman and had a passion for life. I know you will miss her very much. May you find comfort in the words of Rev 21:4 where God promises tof do away with death, pain and sorrow on earth. And may he as the "God of comfort" care for your family during this most difficult time.

I had the pleasure of working with Sue when she first joined LGA in 1994. She was always willing to roll up her sleeves and step right in to help out. Despite her transition to other airports, her rising career and other challenges, we remained friends throughout the years. She truly is an amazing person and an inspiration to many of us. Our years swimming together early in the morning were very special. Sue always had time for others... When I bought my house she showed up with a big garbage can full of lawn supplies: rakes, shovels, hedge trimmers. I still have those things and use them all the time. She was never too busy to make a call or visit, Sue was an amazing person. My condolences.

Sue also would come up with ways to get the Airport family together and have a good time by having Pot Luck lunches as well as other events. She will be missed by many. My condolences again. Marilyn

I knew a Susan Baer - childhood friend - from Great Neck, Long Island. I saw "The New York Times" obituary today and thought that it was my friend. I then went online and realized that it was not; however, your Susan had an astounding career and was a wonderful woman. She contributed so much in so many areas. It was a pleasure to read about Susan. I want to offer my heartfelt condolences to you - the family. May all your loving memories serve to soften the grief and keep Susan nestled in your hearts forever.
