Nicholas J. O'Rourke, 71 of Manahawkin, New Jersey passed away peacefully in Southern Ocean County Hospital on July 22, 2014. Mr. O'Rourke was born and raised in Montclair, before settling in Caldwell with his wife, Mary. Nicholas graduated from Immaculate Conception High School before receiving his BS in Pharmacy from Ferris State University in Michigan. Nicholas, a Pharmacist for more than 40 years, owned Nick's Drugs in Newark and earned recognition as Pharmacist of the Year. Nicholas was predeceased by his parents and his infant son, Steven. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Mary and three daughters: Nicole and her husband Dennis Philip Quinlan; Kimberly and her husband Thomas Lees; Melissa and her husband Steven Silverthorne and seven beloved grandchildren Trey, Griffin, Ryan, Brianne, Shannon, Julia and Nicholas of whom he was most proud. Happiest in the company of this family and friends, he will be remembered for his love of family, travel and adventure and will be missed by all.
