Janet M. Ashley, 63, of Glen Ridge, N.J., passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Overlook Medical Center, Summit, N.J. A lifelong and active citizen of Essex County as well as a leader for 35 years at The University of Medicine and Dentistry, Janet is survived by a beloved son, Michael Ashley of Washington, D.C., husband, Thomas Ashley, mother, Cecilia Morgan, sisters Michelle Morgan Bowler, Joan Morgan Hurdle, Joy Morgan, Juanita Morgan, a brother David Morgan and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and dear friends.
