Obituary of John Flanagan

John Francis Flanagan Sr., 71, a resident of Breezy Point, N.Y., formerly of Flushing, N.Y., Verona and Upper Montlair, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Hamilton Plaza Nursing Facility in Passaic, N.J. Mr. Flanagan was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, N.Y., on November 26, 1941, and is the son of Joseph A. and Margaret "Cis" Flanagan (nee Morissey) of Flushing and Breezy Point, Queens, N.Y. Mr. Flanagan is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia M. Flanagan (nee Arnold) of Breezy Point, N.Y, children Meagan P. Strong (Christopher B.) of Troy, N.Y., John F. Jr. of Upper Montclair, N.J. , Michaela M. Danaher (Kevin P.) of Breezy Point, N.Y., and 4 grandchildren, Kate, Patrick, Molly and Christopher (CJ). Visitation on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park St., Montclair, N.J., from 2 to 7 P.M. Funeral requiem on Monday, February 25 at 11 A.M, St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Breezy Point, N.Y. with interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, Queens, N.Y.
