The earth has lost a beautiful soul dedicated to God, her family, and those in need.
Margaret Gervais Rowe passed peacefully at home on February 16, 2013.
Born in Rochester, NY on September 21, 1935, she survived rheumatic fever at an early age and continued her formative years in Rochester at St. Monica's, St. Agnes and Nazareth College. She discovered her passion for nursing and graduated with her degree in 1959.
She met her beloved husband Bill, and they married in 1960. Together they moved to Upper Montclair, NJ where the Rowe family blossomed.
Margaret could be found daily at morning mass at St. Cassian's Church. She volunteered at Birthright, serving as director, where she received their lifetime achievement award in 2009. Thursdays found her sharing her faith with her weekly rosary group.
Margaret's legacy continues in the lives of her children Mary Pepperman (her husband Steven),Carrie Malanga (her husband, Gerry), Kathleen Vanderzwaag (her husband George),Matthew Rowe, Christine Rowland (her husband Peter), Michael Rowe (and his fiancé Susan Urode) and her 16 cherished grandchildren.
She is also survived by her dear sisters Joanne Christner, Celanire Morgan, and her admired brother Thomas Gervais.
