Obituary of Magda Rosado

Magda E. Rosado, 83, a beloved resident of Upper Montclair, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 8th, 2023, in the comfort of her home.

 

Magda was born in Peru and later moved to Brooklyn, NY, where she dedicated herself to caring for the Morgan children.

Her illustrious career in the banking industry at Chemical Bank in Manhattan spanned over 30 years. Magda's bilingual proficiency and exceptional people skills propelled her to the position of vice president, making her retirement a testament to her dedication and success.

A resident of Upper Montclair for over 50 years, Magda was a well-known and respected member of the community. She had a radiant spirit, always acting as a beaming angel who brightened the day of everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Her warm and caring nature left a lasting impact on those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Magda was predeceased by her parents Jose Luis Rosado Rojo and Elena Cano Leon De Rosado and two brothers and eight sisters. 

Survived by 6 nieces and nephews and 30 grand nieces and nephews. The memory of her kindness and the positive influence she had on the lives of others will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

A mass in her honor will be held on Friday, December 15th, at 10:00 am at St. Cassian's Church in Upper Montclair, NJ. The burial service will follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Upper Montclair, NJ.  In lieu of flowers please donate to lampforhaiti.org.
