Obituary of Barbara Ann O'Keefe

Barbara Ann O’Keefe, 89, of Lavallette passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8th, 2023, in the Green Hill Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, West Orange, N.J.

Visitation will be held on Friday December 15th from 4 to 8 pm at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park St., Montclair. A prayer service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum on Saturday December 16th at 11 am.

Born and raised in the Great Notch section of Little Falls, Barbara lived in Glen Ridge for 47 years prior to moving to Lavallette in 2002.

In 1970, she began a career in real estate that spanned for over 30 years. First starting with Virginia Flick Real Estate in Glen Ridge and ending with Rhodes Van Note in Upper Montclair.

Barbara was a member of many organizations in Glen Ridge throughout her life. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, her brothers William, Ronald and John as well as sister Marion.

She is survived by her son Kevin J. O’Keefe and his wife Lee of Montclair, her daughters Linda Trojanowski and her husband Norbert of Glen Ridge and Lauren Babcock and her husband Edmund of Springfield, Pa; her eight grandchildren Ryan, Amy, Sean, Katie, Evan, Emily, Jeffrey, Anna and eight great grandchildren.
