Obituary of John J White

John J. White passed away on July 16, 2023. John was the devoted husband of the late Maryann Gillespie White. John is survived by his three loving children: Jennifer White, John White (Katie), and Jaime Robitaille (Patrick). John took great joy in being a grandfather to his 5 grandchildren: Erin and Shannon White, Taryn, PJ, and Marion Robitaille. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas.

John was born and raised in Parkchester, in the Bronx, NY, where he met his wife, Maryann. John and Maryann raised their family in Upper Montclair. He served in the US Army from 1964-1969. John worked for many years for Verizon and finished his career working at Daytop Village in Mendham, NJ.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 5-7PM at Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park Street, Montclair. A mass of Christian burial will be offered 10AM Friday, July 21, 2023 at Saint Cassian Church, 187 Bellevue Avenue, Montclair, NJ
