My aunt Virgie(my mother's only sister)was very special to me and always let me know I was very dear to her. She was like a big sister at times ,as when she cried at my junior high school graduation. At other times her motherly instincts surfaced in support of me. We had many good times together, at the theatre , visiting old family friends in Kirkwood where we once lived, going to movies, cruising together , and just laughing having a good time together. Virgie's love for me and my daughter, Jeanine, was a blessing I'll treasure forever. Rest in peace dear aunt Virgie. We will keep you in our hearts forever. Love, Your niece Greta

I remember meeting Ms. Virgie for the first time and was genuinely impressed with her. She was graceful, elegant, inquisitive and warmly loquacious. I found her to be an "inspiring" woman of her time. I often told her, "when I grow up I want to be just like You" because she was a beautiful woman who aged very well, although, I remember one of her famous quotes that still stay with me, even to this day, "aging is cruel" which I find quite ironic in her case as it did not appear cruel to her, in my opinion.
I was not around her as often as I would have liked but the several moments shared with her will never be forgotten. She will always be loved by me. I was proud to have her as part of our family. She was the kindest and most generous person I have come to know and love. I will never forget her and look forward to seeing her again in the place where God has prepared a place for His children/us (....John 14:2).
Rest in Christ Ms. Virgie, You are in His Care, Comfort and Love.
Meranda
