Paulo B Cordeiro

May 29, 1936 - February 13, 2025

Born to Dora De Souza Barros and Caetano Carvalho Cordeiro in New York City. Survived by his wife M. Cecilia and their two daughters, Christine (Kurt) and Patricia (Hollie), and four grandsons, Quinn, MacLain, Ian and Grant.  

Paul was predeceased by siblings Robert LaMarchina, Dido de Souza Barros, Gloria de Souza Barros, and Ricardo de Souza Barros Cordeiro. 

 He is survived by two siblings, James Cordeiro and Leslie Cordeiro Heyer, his brother-in-law Carlos Eduardo Saraiva Guedes and sister-in-law, Maria Jose Guedes Contreras, 14 nieces and nephews: Lydia, Sandra, Vita, Andrea, Alessandra, Ana Carolina, Adriana, Fernando, Eduardo, Ana Claudia, Estevao, Jamie, Christie, and Ryan, and 26 grand nieces and nephews. 

Paul and Cecilia volunteered with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for many decades on two continents. When he retired from International Paper Co they spent two decades traveling the globe by air and sea. 

They especially treasured visiting with friends and family around the globe. 

 Paul has asked to be cremated without ceremony. 

A memorial and life celebration is being planned for the spring. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that loved ones make time for quiet visits with Cecilia to hold her hand while reminiscing and sharing news.
