Obituary of Elaine Diane Gallagher

Elaine Kislowski Gallagher

Born on October 6th, 1946 to Frieda and Eddie Kislowski, Elaine was born on McCosh Road in Montclair and still lived there 75 later! She grew up with wonderful parents and her fun and loving sister Linda. She shared wonderful memories with all of them.

Elaine was a very diversified woman. She was a genius in the mathematical field having a teaching position at Wayne Valley High School for 34 years. Her expertise ranged from simple algebra to advanced trigonometry and calculus classes. She loved being with students and for years was the ski adviser for the Wayne Valley Ski Club traveling to several places including Vail and Switzerland and Italy.

She attended Immaculate Conception High School and was a graduate from the class of 1964 where she held high honors in all courses. She then attended Fairleigh Dickenson College where she received a BA in Education and a Master’s Degree in Arts of Teaching. She also held a Supervisory Certificate from Fairleigh Dickenson. She initially met the love of her life, Rick Gallagher at Immaculate and was married years later at Immaculate Conception Church. They had been married for 52 years.

Rick and Elaine loved to travel from Montclair to Vail, Colorado, to Hawaii to Florida! They traveled to 48 states! She loved basket weaving and bead making, loved making specialty birthday cards and enjoyed everything to do with Harry Potter!!!

Elaine will be lovingly remembered in all the Gallagher and Kislowski’s hearts. May she rest in peace.
