Obituary of Helene A Sullivan

Helene A. Sullivan, (nee Willenborg) 92, of Upper Montclair, NJ died peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Helene was born in Hoboken, NJ, lived there many years and moved to Upper Montclair in 1961 with her husband where they raised their family. She graduated from Caldwell College in 1950, and earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration. She met her husband, John in New York City where she worked from 1950-1952, and were married in 1953. After several years she returned to work at Caldwell College in the Alumnae Office from 1970 to 1977, and after that did volunteer work running different groups including a Senior Citizen Group and fund raising events. Helene was a parishioner at St. Cassian Church in Upper Montclair. She enjoyed her volunteer work and spending time with her family and friends.

She is pre-deceased by her husband, John of 62 years. She is survived by four children, Barbara Senior and husband Bill, of Clifton, Patricia M. Sullivan, of Upper Montclair, Richard and wife Debbie, of Verona, John and wife Cyndie, of St. Augustine, FL. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Tim and Patty Senior, Remy and Julianne Sullivan, and Sean and Connor Sullivan.

Visitation is Wednesday, May 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at The Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park Street. The Funeral Mass is at St. Cassian Church, 187 Bellevue Avenue Upper Montclair on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 am.
