Obituary of Elizabeth M Harte

Elizabeth Harte, 90 of West Caldwell, formerly of Brick, NJ, Stamford, CT and New City, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2020 with family at her side. Elizabeth grew up in Hoboken, NJ to Carl & Elsa Willenborg, she attended St. Dominic Academy and graduated from Caldwell College in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. In 1951 she met the love of her life, Patrick Harte and always claimed, “it was love at first sight”.

Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was kind and generous to everyone and was considered a second mother to many who knew her in their youth. Elizabeth was devoted to her family and her faith. She truly exemplified the spirit of love, kindness and laughter.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Patrick Harte. She is survived by her seven children, Helene & her husband, Jack Hughes of Cranbury, NJ, Marie Harte of Suffern, NY, Patrick & his wife, Kasia of McKinney, TX, Denis & his wife, Michelle of Doylestown, PA, Paul & his wife, Vicki of Chatham, NJ, Vincent of Las Vegas, NV and Elisabeth & her husband, Lee Marigliano of Harpersfield, NY. She is also survived by her sister, Helene Sullivan of Upper Montclair, NJ and her brother, Dr. George Willenborg of North Bergen, NJ. Elizabeth also leaves her grandchildren, Justin and Nick Hughes, Connor Harte, Jackson and Aidan Harte, Ella Harte, Lee Jr., Elsa & Lily Marigliano, as well as many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be at Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2020 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, 76 Park Street, Montclair. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 3, 2020 10:00 am at Saint Cassian Church, 187 Bellevue Avenue, Upper Montclair. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair.
