Barbara McLoughlin (Flynn)

Barbara McLoughlin, age 97, died September 10, 2020 with her family by her side in Succasunna, New Jersey.

Barbara was born in Orange, NJ, graduated from West Orange High School and later worked for Prudential Insurance Company in Newark.

She spent most of her life in New Jersey, raising her family in East Orange. Barbara and her husband Patrick Joseph McLoughlin relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina in 1976. After the death of her beloved husband, Barbara moved closer to family members in North Palm Beach, Florida in 2014. There she enjoyed quality time with family and new friends.

In 2019, Barbara returned home to NJ to be closer to her extended family and friends. Barbara is pre-deceased by her youngest daughter Barbara McLoughlin, her grandson Dustin Lane and great grandson Zachary Patrick . She is survived by her children Dennis McLoughlin of Greensboro, NC, Kathleen Napurano (Joseph) of Succasunna, NJ, Patricia McLoughlin of Lake Como, NJ, Mary McLoughlin (Virgil Alonso) of North Palm Beach, FL, Robert McLoughlin (Linda) of Roseland, NJ, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Barbara will be remembered for her quick wit, generosity, homemade pot pies, Irish coffee, handmade Christmas stockings, and beautiful crocheting and knitting.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church in Montclair, NJ at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
