Obituary of Robert John Gilligan

Gilligan, Robert J. on May 16 2020.  Son of the late Thomas Sr. and Mary Gilligan of Montclair.  Robert is survived by his wife Ellen, his daughters Patricia (Renne Puppo) and Megan and son Sgt. Robert J. Jr. of the US Army.  He is also survived by brothers Thomas Jr., John, Edward and James.  He is predeceased by his brother Mark and nephews Sean and Daniel.

Robert was born and raised in Montclair.  He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.  After the war he received a BA from William Paterson and completed courses at the Chubb Institute.  He worked as a computer programmer.

A memorial mass will be offered August 7th at 11:30AM at The St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Church of the Immaculate Conception.
