Ronald Albert Johnsen, passed away on Monday July 9th at the age of 78 at 11:54am. Ron was born and raised in Minnesota and was a proud service member of the US Navy, stationed in Morocco during the Vietnam War, breaking codes in the intelligence division.
After Ron was honorably discharged from the Navy, he worked as a Recording Engineer at the legendary Electric Lady Recording Studios. He worked and was friends with well known artists like Lyn Christopher, Jimi Hendrix and Cyndi Lauper. Ron produced many successful recording artists such as Klaus Nomi , The Troggs, most popular "Wild Thing", and one of his well known involvements with a rock group called Wicked Lester, which eventually became the popular band Kiss.
Ron will be forever remembered by both his ex-wife's Diane & Joyce, 4 children, Ron Jr. (Karen), Christina (Roger), Ian & Eric, 2 grandchildren Chloe & Dylan and both DeCesare & Perrone Families.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be at The Hugh M Moriarty Funeral Home on July 12, 2018 from 10-12PM.
