I met Mr.Squires when I worked at Home Depot in Los Angeles. He appeared at my desk with a detailed floor plan he had painstakingly measured of his daughter, “Livie”’s kitchen. He told me he was visiting from New Jersey on a vacation. I explained to him my father, too, was a native of Jersey and to say the least, we hit it off like a house on fire. Mr. Squires’ devotion to his daughter and his kitchen plan reminded me so much of my father. I lost my dad, business executive, builder, semi-pro baseball player and all around good guy to Alzheimer’s, in 2004.
In the insuing month’s, Livia and I eventually finished the plans for her kitchen, with me always sending greetings cemented by those enjoyable first meetings with Mr . Squires. I remain friends with Livia knowing that she too, had the heartbreak of watching her Hero diminished by the ravages of the same disease that claimed my dad. RIP Mr. Squires...Godspeed...to a good man and loving Dad til the end.

Lindley’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

A most rewarding relationship when a patient allows you to participate in his complex ocular problem enabling him to continue to use his brilliance productively.

Mr. Squires was one of my favorite patients! I'm so saddened to learn of his passing. We had many enlightening conversations over the years and I always looked forward to speaking with him, sometimes at great length, during his visits. He was intelligent, funny, kind and caring, It was a joy to know him and I send my condolences and heart felt sympathy to his family. G-d rest your soul, Mr. Squires! Bless you!

To the family of Lindley, he was our neighbor, friend and such a remarkable man. We will miss his grace and spirit. He always had a smile on his face and a cute little giggle. When things began to be challenging for him, he never gave up. We would see him going on his daily walk until he physically could not maneuver. When we would ask how he was, he would giggle and say, “Still here”! No one will ever take his place as our treasured neighbor. Such a gentleman and a man of impeccable character. We’ll miss you Lindley. Karen and Don
