Ronnie C. Kaslander (nee Convery) 76, of Montville, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Saturday surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Perth Amboy to William and Veronica Convery, Ronnie attended Perth Amboy High School, Bucknell University and received her Master’s degree from Monmouth College. She began her teaching career in Perth Amboy school system and later moved to Verona where she taught for 20 years at F.N. Brown School before retiring in 1986.

Ronnie was active in cheer leading, having been Captain of the Perth Amboy High School squad and later mentoring the Verona Eagles Football squads. Ronnie leaves, her beloved husband of 45 years, Robert; her brother, Jerome J. Convery and sister in law, Judith of Old Bridge. Children Harold Sandberg, Jr., of West Orange, Dr. Caryn Siver and her husband Steven of Sarasota, FL., Donna J. Mc Kenna of Essex Fells, Robert A. Kaslander, Jr. and his wife Amelia of Verona, and Tracy Wohning and her husband Peter of Long Valley. Grandchildren, Jaime Stoddard and her husband David, of Bloomfield, Nicole Dacey of Denver, CO and her husband, Joseph; Lindsey Wohning of VA, Robert A. Kaslander III of Verona, Elise Kaslander of Verona, Alex Kaslander of Verona, William Mc Kenna of Essex Fells, Katie Mc Kenna of Essex Fells, Kelly Mc Kenna of Hilton Head, SC and Allison Mc Kenna of Essex Fells and Danielle Wohning of Long Valley.

Visitation at Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home will be on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 on Monday and  a Mass of Christian Burial   will be offered at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona at 10:00 AM on Tuesday. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
