We first got to know Marge and Dick at Colby and Kim's wedding, August 22,1972. We were so happy to welcome Kim into the Snyder family. Dick and Marge were twins to me. They matched in all ways that always made an impression. Dental and educational areas of expertise. Dick was a wonderful dentist and son Gordon joined and then Gordon's son. A very respected practice. Marge and Dick were so inclusive to our family. Kim and Colby even passed on the rent of 45 Ellery St in Cambridge, MA to Tuck and Kelly 1989-1991. They both lived into their 90's. We always worried what would happen when one of them died. Dick, you and Marge are together in heaven a place where you certainly deserve to be.
We love you. Sue and Chuck

Richard’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

Dear Dad,
I miss you, my friend!
Yet I’m warmed by your spirit as I look around me surrounded by tables, benches and objects made with your ever-loving ingenuity.
I can hope to live up to the open-hearted energy, humor, devotion that is now the mystery of your spirited essence.
I’m thankful to have been a part of you and your life and so many unforgettable memories of a wonderful life you created for us!
Love,
Doug

Some of my happiest memories in life are with Pop-pop at Normandy Beach, New Jersey and then Hutchinson Island, Florida, where he would be in constant motion entertaining his children and grandchildren. He played tennis with my husband Patrick and me until he was 85, getting most shots, and saying "no gifts"! Pop-pop's positive energy and glass half full approach to life was infectious. He would light up a room with a whistle, wink, hand squeeze, and silly joke. He was a wonderful grandfather, the best there could be, and his spirit lives on with me every day. I love you and miss you Pop-pop. oxoxo

Apart from the many mnay parties, lunches and dinners with Marge & Dick during the 70s and 80s I am so blessed to have spent many holidays with them and George Moore during that period. A number of "Winnebago" trips - three to be precise - in various parts of the USA, as well as visits to Italy, Holland and Ireland over the years were always filled with joy and laughter. They were the best friends anyone could ever wish for.
You will never be forgotten Dick.

Dad maintained his athleticism throughout his life. He played handball, then squash and tennis. He worked out at the YMCA. He swam, played tennis, golf and rode his bike well into his 90's. We called him "The Energizer Bunny" as he was always working on a project, building planters, structures and shelves, or fixing something for someone. His children and grandchildren cherish the furniture he assembled for them. His laugh could always be heard above others and he always greeted everyone with a smile and a warm hug or kiss. I miss you M&D, oxoxKim

Having known Dick all my life, I have many fond memories and will miss him.
Dick had married my cousin Marge. As a young child in Greenwich Village, I was often in New Jersey visiting my aunt and uncle and playing with the growing number of young cousins.
Later, while attending college in DC, I spent part of most holidays with the Jersey cousins and enjoyed the perky, preppy "young" couple.
Later still, Marge and Dick were the first cousins to visit my family in Hawaii. My young son was especially excited -- since all his friends on Molokai had lots of cousins. So, seeing the grey-haired (though still very preppy and perky) couple, he deemed them "Aunty Cousin" and "Uncle Cousin"!
The memories (and photos) live on.
Fondest aloha,
Claire
