Eduard Duka, Born May 5, 1963, raised in Vlora, Albania. Where he met and wedded his beautiful wife Mirela, in December 1997. Only to be expecting a beautiful baby boy a year later, his son Tim Duka. July 15, 1999, Eduard along with his wife Mirela and three month year old son, made their first move to America, in hopes of a better life and future for their baby
son. First locating work and later finding themselves moving into their first home in Nutley. Eduard died, May 26, 2018 at Mountainside hospital. Eduard Duka, definition of a family man with a heart big enough to love the world, “ there wasn’t a day he didn’t smile, laugh... there wasn’t a moment Eduard couldn’t ease your mind with a peaceful bliss of sound waves that his laughter gracefully swayed you to.” A cancer survivor, he fought his way back to health, the pain in his eyes, never met his mesmerizing smile. Those who love deeply never grow old, the love that kept him going was the love he shared with his soul mate, his wife, Mirela Duka, his courageous son Tim Duka, his sister and parents. And that love will stay alive forever and always. A promise that was made 21 years ago. We will miss the way his love felt, almost like the wind, except we couldn’t only feel it but we were shown the impact and power of it. We won’t be tormented by the tragedy of a brother being taken away from us but grateful that we had the chance to have this wonderful man part of our life, to get to experience great love, to hold on to the memories that only made our hearts grow bigger and stronger. So, if we can take a moment to say thanks, thank you Eduard Duka for being here in the first place.
