Williams, Douglas M., 49, of Montclair died suddenly on October 9, 2011. Son of Elizabeth and the late George H. Williams. Brother of Michael of Budd Lake, NJ, Paul of Honolulu, HI, Barbara Acuna and her husband Jay of Oxford, NJ, Connie Calantropio and her husband Greg of Cedar Grove, NJ, Rosemary of Montclair and Brian of San Francisco, CA. Doug is also survived by nephews John and Jason and nieces Stephanie and Melanie. Doug was born is Passaic and spent his early childhood in Rutherford before moving with his family to Montclair in 1973. He was a 1980 graduate of Montclair High School and a 1985 graduate of Montclair State College. He was employed as a benefits analyst at Milliman in Woodland Park for 25 years. Doug was an avid runner and completed many marathons. He was a proud member of the Essex Running Club and will be deeply missed. Doug was training for the upcoming Boston Marathon in April 2012, which he was planning to run with his sister Rosemary. Doug will be missed and remembered for his gentle nature and sense of humor by his family, friends, coworkers and all he met. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park Street Montclair, NJ. A private interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug's memory to the Montclair Ambulance Unit, 95 Walnut Street Montclair, NJ 07042.
