Obituary of Susan Rafter

Susan Rafter of Sparta, also (Susan Miller-Lennon) formerly of Montclair and Clifton, passed away with her family by her side peacefully on Wednesday May 9th at the Hackensack University Medical Center; she was 65 years young. She was a graduate of Clifton High School. "Miss Susan" was an employee of both the Montclair School system and the "Face of Kiddie Academy" in Sparta serving in day care. It was Susan's smile and kind manners that welcomed the students, parents and teachers each and every day. Kids and family are what made Susan - Susan. Susan was the beloved wife of James Rafter. She is the loving mother of Kelly Lennon, Jennifer Lennon Pitcherella and David Lennon and mother-in-law to Chris Pitcherella and Stephanie Zaros Lennon as well as being the truly loving grandmother ("YaYa") of Lily and Michael Pitcherella and Charlotte Lennon. She is survived by her loving mother Ruthye K. Miller of Vieques, P.R., formerly of Sparta, NJ and her loving sisters Penny Miller of Vieques, P.R. and Deborah Miller-Wood of Huntsville, TX. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday 5/14/2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday 5/15/2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home at 76 Park Street, Montclair, NJ 07042. In lieu of flowers, the Family would appreciate donations be made to the "In Memory of Susan J.
