Vincent W. "Cousin Vinnie" Kiernan, 70, of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, passed away at home on October 23, 2015. Visitation will be held at Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park St., Montclair, NJ on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 7-9 pm, Burial will be Tuesday October 27, 2015 at 10:30 am at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Avenue Bloomfield, NJ. Vinnie was born in Newark, NJ to the late John J. Kiernan Sr. and Marie F. (Weber) Kiernan on November 5, 1944. He went to Belleville High School. He had a rich life as an artist, a hair dresser, a truck driver and an icon at the Jefferson House at Lake Hopatcong. He loved all music, especially Elvis, the oldies and true country music. He had a great love of family and was loved by all. Vinnie is survived by his sons Brian Kiernan (Yvonne) Vincent DePersio (Beth) and grandchildren, Joshua, Peyton, Nolan and Emily, brother of Dennis Kiernan, Maureen Kiernan Grutt and Ellie Tartaglia Kiernan, loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Kenneth, Thomas and John J. Kiernan Jr. Family requests no flowers, memorial donations may be made to his grandson's educational fund.
