Paula McLaughlin

–

Brick Township, New Jersey

Paula McLaughlin, born March 17, 1948, passed away on June 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Paula is survived by her husband, Thomas McLaughlin, and her five children: William Mansfield (Tricia), Stacie Baumann (Eric), Erin Healy (William), Paul McLaughlin (Sarah), and Thomas McLaughlin Jr. Paula’s pride and joy were her family, and she delighted in her twelve grandchildren: Bryan, Kevin, and Shawn Baumann; Sydney, Connor, Ryan, and Courtney Mansfield; Eileen, Cate, and Andrew Healy; and Declan and Addison McLaughlin. Her home was never complete without a four legged companion, her most recent being “Cooper,” her westie.

Paula was born and raised in Glen Ridge, New Jersey where she also raised her children. She graduated from Glen Ridge High School in 1966 and even spent a period of time as a dispatcher for the Glen Ridge Police Department. She then went on to spend many years in retail, working for Hahne’s department store, a Montclair staple for decades. Later in her life, Paula found her niche in data entry and project management in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Paula spent the later part of her career at Hoffmann-La Roche and Novartis managing data entry and analytics for clinical trials with great dedication and precision.

It was clear to all who knew Paula that her true energy and passion were poured into her family. Paula loved nothing more than gathering her children, and grandchildren, celebrating milestones, or simply sharing stories around the table.

Paula was known far and wide for what many affectionately called her “gift of gab.” Storytelling was her love language, a way for her to connect deeply with friends, family, and even those she had just met. Her warmth, humor, and genuine curiosity about others made every conversation with Paula memorable.

Her legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. Paula will be deeply missed, but her stories and spirit live on in all who loved her.
