Leonora Sheehan Obituary (2017)

Leonora Marie Sheehan Loving wife, mother and grandmother Leonora Marie Sheehan 88 of West Caldwell NJ, formerly of Montclair, passed away on Sunday February 12, 2017. Born March 10th she grew up in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, NY with her father James M. Donahue, her mother Marie C. Donahue and siblings Marie and James. After graduating from Fontbonne Hall Academy she attended St. Elizabeth's College and graduated with a BA in History and Drama. She had a fervent love of music, serenading friends and family with her beautiful voice at many a gathering; her joie de vive could fill a room! Leonora was an Active member of Upper Montclair Women's Club, AAUW, The Mercier Club, The Garden Club of WC, a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross and a member of the Parish Council of Notre Dame Church in North Caldwell. She sang in the Upper Montclair Madrigals with her mother for several years as well as with the parish church choir. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas D. Sheehan; her children, Tom Sheehan, James Sheehan and his wife Judy Sheehan, Maria Sheehan and her husband Lance Salemo, and Michael Sheehan; along with her grandsons James, Kevin and Ryan Sheehan and granddaughter Isobel Salemo.
