Judy Farbman, 1942–2026

Judy Farbman, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many, passed away peacefully, with family by her side. She was 84.

Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Todd Boressoff; her daughter, Jackie Wengler, and son, Rob Farbman; her son-in-law, Rob Wengler, and daughter-in-law, Linda Hadley. She was so proud of her grandchildren Nick Farbman and Jonathan Wengler. Born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, in 1942, Judy spent many years in Park Slope, Brooklyn before moving to Montclair, New Jersey, where she lived for over 36 years.

Judy had a successful career as a social worker, therapist and administrator, offering guidance and support to individuals, families and professionals. She earned her bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College while balancing raising two young children and working part-time as a waitress. She later completed two master's degrees, including an MSW from the Hunter College School of Social Work. She was also a skilled weaver and dedicated runner.

An enthusiastic traveler, Judy enjoyed summer vacations with her family, which over the years took them to Wilmington, Vermont, the Woodstock area and ultimately to Cape Cod. She also loved traveling with Todd and their friends, especially their adventures piloting boats through the canals and small rivers of Europe; and extended stays in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece and Belgium.

friends, and genuine kindness. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home in Montclair, followed by a repast at Fitzgerald's 1928in Glen Ridge from 1pm to 3pm.
