Jane DeMatteo

Jane DeMatteo died peacefully on December 12, 2025. She was born on April 14, 1947 and lived the majority of her life in Montclair, NJ. She attended Montclair High School and graduated from Duquesne University. Jane was a dedicated nurse, who worked at Englewood Hospital and then Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Irving and Helen Martin, and her late husband, Ronald C. DeMatteo. She is survived by her step-children, Ronald P. DeMatteo and Diane Szott and 5 step-grandchildren. She enjoyed travel, cooking, and the New York Yankees. She cared for numerous pet cats and dogs over the years, and enjoyed feeding the countless birds in her backyard. Jane also had a green thumb and filled their home with beautiful plants. She will be missed.
