Obituary of Louis Anthony Racioppe

Louis A. Racioppe Jr. born on July 20, 1932, son of Lucy and Louis Sr. passed away on June 14, 2016 at Toms River Community Hospital. Born and raised in Montclair, Louis moved to Toms River 10 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Carol, 3 sons and their spouses, Louis and Colleen, Stephen and Glenna and Thomas and Karen. He is also survived by grandchildren Gregory, Trevor, Kimberly, Claire, Colton, Elizabeth and Bruce. Mr. Racioppe was a graduate of Montclair High School and Rutgers University. He was a retired Hospital Administrator employed by East Orange General Hospital and Mountainside Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. Mr. Racioppe has served in many capacities during his life. He was the Head of the Montclair Redevelopment Agency, a past President of the East Orange Lion’s Club, a past member of the Immaculate Conception Parish Council, a former Little League Coach for the Montclair Recreation Department and he also served on the Board of Directors of The Montclair Savings Bank. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception High School Scholarship Fund, 33 Cottage Place Montclair, NJ 07042.
