ROGER W. O’NEILL (1937-2016) Roger W. O’Neill, of Cedar Grove, father, loving husband and grandfather, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and children on Monday, May 9th, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Thelma O'Neill, and his loving oldest sister Joan Zebrowski. The third of 10 siblings, Roger is survived by Barbara, John, Peggy, Stephen, Sally, Patsy, Jack and Liz. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn, married for 53 years. Roger was the father to Colin (Lauren), Darrin (M.T.), Jason, Fay (Bryan) and Erin (J.T.). He was the grandfather to Evan, Connor, Sean, Galen, Kevin, Patrick, Maggie, CeCe, Jack, Billy, Bridget, Francesca and Georgia. Roger joined Clark-O’Neill Incorporated in 1959, a company founded by Harold O’Neill and Tom Clark. He and his brother John built the family business, transforming it into a high tech, data base driven concern. In 1987 they sold the business to IMS and retired. Roger was an alumnus of Georgetown University and was actively involved on the Board and contributed importantly to the establishment of the Georgetown Women’s Lacrosse Program. He was also on the Board and actively involved at Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY. Roger was an accomplished golfer and tennis player, as well as an avid reader, auto and aviation enthusiast. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chaminade High School, 340 Jackson Avenue Mineola, NY 11501-2441.
